Sugartown

I was watching videos on youtube this morning– trying desperately to rid myself of Kansas’ “Carry On My Wayward Son”– and stumbled upon this little gem:

Ozzie Kitty In the Doorway

Ozzie Kitty In the Doorway

Let me just say upfront, that I have always, always loved this song, it is my favorite of Nancy Sinatra’s for sure.  Its kind of the epitome of bubblegum music, right?  But as I was listening to it today, it hit me that this is the way I want my house to feel…  sweet, and relaxing; retro and whimsical.  Light.  Realizing this literally brought tears to my eyes…  I dunno, maybe I need to lay off the coffee.

“Yesterday it rained in Tennessee, I heard it also rained in Tallahassee, but not a drop fell on little ol’ me, ’cause I was in Shu-shu-shu, shu-shu-shu, sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sugartown.”

True dat.

How sweet is that outfit she’s wearing?  Everything all dotty, tall boots, she looks totally hawt.  The only way it could be better is if she were wearing colorful baubley jewelry, but really that’s me just picking.  I would seriously wrestle somebody to have those legs for like, a day.  And  I wonder how much of that frosty mass is actually her hair, and if she’s wearing a fall or an even bigger wiggy headpiece.  Just fabulous.
